Daddy Gone.

So Weston left on Wednesday, when I look back I was surprisingly calm about him leaving for a month, most of the time I get cranky and upset about the whole thing. This time I was different, which is a good thing. I thank all of those who have been praying for us, it has working with many blessing at our house.

One thing I wanted to try and do while Weston was gone this month was to get Erica sleeping through the night. the first night we tried this I was more worried about Glenn waking up then Erica crying. So I didn't make very long before I went to go get her from her crib. but I just patted her back to sleep and the rest of the night went OK. This is how the next night went as well, finally I just kept her in out room and rocked her back to sleep when she would wake. BUT guess what happened last night, Saturday night the 14 she slept all night in her crib! I was so excited. Now I just hope it wasn't a fluke and she continues to have wonderful nights like this more often.

It helps to pass the time by keeping ourselves busy, I try and take the kids out, go to friends house's or to the park, go and get our shopping done what ever it is, and now that the sun is shinning more and the weather is nicer I am letting Glenn go outside more and more which helps with getting him out and about instead of stuck in the house. I am really proud with how well he is behaving, He is takes naps with  little or no wining at all and going to bed has been a wonderful Glenn and mommy time. One thing I always notice is how little he talks about dad when he is gone but the moment we see another man or dad he is stuck to him like glue. So you know he craves that time with his daddy.

So before I forget, I want to remember this moment, Sunday the 15Th of March 2009, at 3 pm in the afternoon, I put both of my children down for naps and they are still sleeping! I already have my dishes and laundry done and most of my house is clean. So I can just relax!! (Please Lord let this happen more often!)

Blessing to all!! enjoy your day, Elizabeth

How much better can these pictures get? I just love them all!!

So today was the first time I put Erica in her bassinet to sleep for her nap starting out awake. It took her only five min of crying to fall asleep. I was so happy. Maybe this means training her to sleep at night in her crib won't be such a big deal.

How do they do it?

I don't know how other moms do it. How do you keep a clean house and have kids? I do the dishes, laundry, sweep, make meals...or at least try to. Most of the time I don't do those things cause I am spending more time with my kids. So how do other moms do both and still seem not overworked and sane? My house normally looks messy cause I would rather be relaxed and spend time with my family and then have time to myself then constantly cleaning my house. Is that wrong?

It always feel weird adjusting to a new year. remembering to say last year instead of earlier this year... not forgetting to write 2009 on my checks (yes I still write checks)... and thinking "WOW, A whole new year is here, just think of all the things to come, know and unknown."

December 31,2008

I can't believe it! has it really been a year. So much has happened. It is amazing to me that as you get older time passes so much quicker.WHY! We started out the year with Weston deploying, then finding out that I was pregnant with our second. one day later I took my wonderful and fabulous Mommy vacation to London. I also got to explore Naples some more while Glenn was still in Daycare and only had one child to take care of. As summer drew near my excitement of Weston returning home was growing daily. June was a busy month, Wes got home, Glenn started summer break, ( Our choice) we got to go to the army Ball, ( not nearly as Much fun as I was hoping) we got to go to Venice and Vencenza. I really liked June, as we also got to find out that we were having a Baby Girl!!! We were Overjoyed. Later in the summer We flew home to Oregon, and spent a wonderful month with our friends and family. September, We celebrated Glenn's 2ND Birthday, (how can he be growing up so fast?) October brought us our Beautiful Baby Girl Erica Rayne, Sadly a week late. but never the less, she was here and we couldn't ask for more. We also took Glenn trick Or treating dressed as a monkey and Erica as a banana. So cute. We had wonderful friends over for Thanksgiving. Christmas was very fun and laid back. My Erica will all ready be 3months old in 10 days. I am going nuts! 3months! no way. (she is already longer then Glenn at this age, as well as eating better.) Well I guess this is were I sign off and if I want to keep writing, start a new blog. Hope everyone has a great new year!!

My weekly Life

So Erica is one month old and doing great. her eating habits have changed a little at night but it is not to bad. the weather here is getting cold and so I am always trying to keep her warm as our house is very expensive to heat so we are trying to other ways of heating, like using our fireplace, or using the house hot water heaters.

Not much is going on since Weston went back to work. I have my weekly Bible study on Tuesdays on base. but other then that my week is pretty free. I try and feel it with things to do to keep us busy. Tomorrow is Veterans day so Weston has the day off. We are planning to go to the mall near here which has some American stores, so I am super excited.

I think these of Erica in vase are so differant and wonderful even if she does look like she hates me.
